Equity in power planning: Examples
- Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, December 2020. Integrated Resources Plan: Pathways to achieve a 100% zero carbon electric sector by 2040.
This IRP is a great example of keeping equity front and centered during the planning process. It established “Ensuring Energy Affordability and Equity For All Ratepayers” as a primary objective. The IRP discusses the ramifications of various planning decisions on equity and provides some recommendations. - Environmental Justice Leadership Forum on Climate Change. January 2016.
