KC Golden Appointed to Council
Washington Governor Jay Inslee has appointed KC Golden to serve a three-year term on the Council, starting March 7.
Mark Walker became public affairs director for the Council in February 1996. Prior to coming to the Council, Mark worked in Washington, D.C. for U.S. Senator Mark O. Hatfield (OR) for 11 years, both on Hatfield's personal and Appropriations Committee staffs. Mark held a number of positions on the Appropriations Committee staff including minority staff director of the Interior Subcommittee, minority staff director of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, and in his last position worked for Senator Pete Domenici (NM) as majority staff director of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee. Mark worked predominantly on Northwest natural resource issues during his employment in the Senate. He is a graduate of Linfield College and holds masters degrees in management from Willamette University and music history from the University of Oregon.
