Dear Ms. McNary:
As you know, the Northwest Power Planning Council (Council) approved the Issue summary for Columbia Plateau provincial review decisions on November 8, 2001. The final version of the Columbia Plateau decision document is now complete and ready for distribution. This information is on the Council's web site.
Please find attached the issue memorandum summarizing the funding recommendations for the Columbia Plateau Province. Also attached please find the tables referenced in the document. Table 1 reflects the proposed and recommend funding levels for ongoing projects that were supported by both the ISRP and CBFWA (treated as the "base" projects). Table 2 records all of the other projects that were supported by ISRP and CBFWA in their respective reviews. Table 3 summarizes project-specific issues for projects and illustrates how the Council's resolution affected the "base" budget.Table 4 combines the base budget and project-specific issues that effect project budgets, and depicts the Council's funding recommendations for Fiscal Years 2002 through 2004 for each project. I encourage you to work closely with the memorandum as well as the tables, as there are many conditions and recommendations outlined in the memorandum that the Council seeks to have reflected in Bonneville contracting.
Thank you for your assistance and patience in this effort. If you have any questions please give me a call.
Sincerely,
Doug Marker
Acting Director, Fish and Wildlife Division
