About this meeting:
The January 2024 RAAC Technical Committee will (1) cover stakeholder feedback about the Council’s multi-metric adequacy standard, and (2) propose interim metric threshold recommendations. Since March 2023, staff have engaged with many utilities and regional organizations to elicit feedback about a broad range of adequacy topics, including specific perspectives on the provisional range of frequency, duration, and magnitude metrics adopted for the 2021 Adequacy Assessment (see 2021 Adequacy Assessment and Multi Metric Progress Report for recap of May 2024 Council Meeting). Staff will present the findings and discuss remaining decision points that will feed into the Council upcoming adequacy assessment.
The day will be devoted to back-to-back Resource Adequacy and System Analysis advisory committees (SAAC) (1pm-4pm) given the overlap of experience and interest of members on both committees.
