Council Extends Schedule for Completing Power Plan Revision

The release schedule of the Council’s Northwest Power Plan has been revised to allow more time to complete the analytical work, which addresses major shifts in the energy industry, and to communicate and deliberate with energy stakeholders and the public. The extended schedule also gives new Council members more time to learn about the work.
The revised schedule is as follows:
- August 2021 — Release of the draft Northwest Power Plan; followed by a minimum 60-day comment period with public hearings
- Early 2022 — Approval of the final plan
