Step Review of MFWP’s response to the ISRP’s 2007 review of the revised Master Plan for the Sekokini Springs Isolation Facility, Hungry Horse Mitigation, Project #199101903

At the Council’s August 8, 2008 request, the ISRP reviewed Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks’ (MFWP) response to our 2007 review of the revised Master Plan for the Sekokini Springs Isolation Facility (ISRP 2007-16). The revised Master Plan is intended to address release of westslope cutthroat trout produced at the Sekokini Springs Isolation facility as mitigation for operating the Hungry Horse hydropower facility. MFWP’s response and ISRP’s review were a condition of the Council’s January 2007 decision that the Sekokini Springs step-review and planning effort proceed to final design.

The ISRP finds that sponsor’s (MFWP) response meets scientific criteria (qualified).
